Dr. Shamin Patel

Shamin Patel, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY30376), specializing in psychological testing and has worked with San Diego children and families for over a decade. Dr. Patel has also served as an assessment supervisor to postdoctoral fellows and graduate students over the years, teaching how to complete Autism and ADHD Evaluations, specifically late diagnosis and female presentation of autism and ADHD.

 

Dr. Patel additionally specializes in Positive Parenting treatments and is a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) International Certified Therapist. Due to her expertise in parenting, she has worked on a NIH grant funded research project at UCSD finding effective treatments for childhood obesity and has assisted in creating a parenting based treatment for weight management and healthy living.

 

Dr. Patel has worked in various reputable San Diego organizations and built programs, from outpatient to residential levels of care. Over the years she has built relationships with various organizations, which lends to her community-based evaluation recommendations that result in effective change.

Dr. Natalie Hennig

Dr. Hennig received her bachelor's in psychology from Azusa Pacific University. She continued her education and completed her Master's in Clinical Psychology and her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Hennig interned at Kaiser San Diego and focused on therapeutic interventions for children and families. She enjoys working with children and adolescents, as well as families. Dr. Hennig uses techniques from behavioral therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, play therapy, and parent child interaction therapy. Specifically, Dr. Hennig works with children and adolescents diagnosed with anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, trauma, adjustment difficulties, anger problems, and family relationship problems. Her research interests include identifying relationship between neurobehavioral systems, cognition, and resilience.
