Dr. Shamin Patel

Dr. Shamin Patel

Shamin Patel, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY30376), specializing in psychological testing and has worked with San Diego children and families for over a decade. Dr. Patel has also served as an assessment supervisor to postdoctoral fellows and graduate students over the years, teaching how to complete Autism and ADHD Evaluations, specifically late diagnosis and female presentation of autism and ADHD.

 

Dr. Patel additionally specializes in Positive Parenting treatments and is a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) International Certified Therapist. Due to her expertise in parenting, she has worked on a grant funded research project at UCSD finding effective treatments for childhood obesity and has assisted in creating a parenting-based treatment for weight management and healthy living which is published in the Journal of the America Medical Association (JAMA).

 

Dr. Patel has worked in various reputable San Diego organizations and built programs, from outpatient to residential levels of care. Over the years she has built relationships with various organizations, which lends to her community-based evaluation recommendations that result in effective change.

Dr. Natalie Hennig

Dr. Natalie Hennig

Dr. Hennig received her bachelor's in psychology from Azusa Pacific University. She continued her education and completed her Master's in Clinical Psychology and her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary and interned at Kaiser San Diego and focused on therapeutic interventions for children and families.

She enjoys working with children and adolescents, as well as families. Dr. Hennig uses techniques from behavioral therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, play therapy, and parent child interaction therapy. Specifically, Dr. Hennig works with children and adolescents diagnosed with anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, trauma, adjustment difficulties, anger problems, and family relationship problems. Her research interests include identifying relationships between neurobehavioral systems, cognition, and resilience.
 



 

Dr. Bianca Cersosimo

Dr. Bianca Cersosimo

Bianca Cersosimo, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience in psychological assessment and psychotherapy with children, teens, and adults of different backgrounds. She is also a dedicated professor and researcher at Alliant International University, San Diego. She aims to provide thorough and thoughtful psychological evaluations that take into account the unique identities and lived experiences of each individual.

 

With a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University and an MA from Columbia University, Dr. Cersosimo has a broad range of experience working in community mental health, hospitals, and private practice. She helps clients of all ages navigate psychological challenges through detailed assessments that aim to uncover the root of their issues and guide them towards effective solutions.

 

Dr. Cersosimo is committed to using assessment to support and empower individuals and their families, helping them build resilience, cope with difficulties, and discover their strengths. 

Dr. Teagan Twombly

Teagan Twombly, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who provides psychological testing and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and families. She earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and completed her clinical training across community mental health centers, therapeutic programs, and public schools.

Dr. Twombly uses cognitive behavioral, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches to support youth navigating anxiety, behavioral concerns, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and the impacts of early adversity. Through comprehensive evaluations, she provides diagnostic clarification to help families access services while highlighting each child's unique capabilities and underlying needs.

Drawing on her dual background in clinical and school psychology, Dr. Twombly bridges the gap between systems of care by collaborating with educators and medical providers to help families navigate IEPs, 504 plans, and community resources. Her work is guided by a passion for early intervention and a commitment to ensuring all families have equitable access to care. Above all, she is dedicated to empowering families and equipping children with the tools they need to build confidence and resilience.
